Tailcorner: by purchasing from www.tailcorner.com ("Site"), you agree to these legally binding Terms.

1. Business Model Disclosure

Products are manufactured, stored, and shipped by third-party suppliers and fulfillment partners located in various countries.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Products may ship from outside your country of residence

  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed

  • Customs procedures may apply

  • Packaging, labeling, and minor aesthetic details may vary

  • Multiple items in one order may arrive in separate shipments

Tailcorner acts as a retailer and intermediary and does not physically manufacture or warehouse products.

2. Assumption of Risk & Pet Owner Responsibility

All products sold by Tailcorner are pet accessories and are not indestructible safety devices.

By purchasing and using our products, you expressly agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for selecting the correct size

  • You have reviewed size charts carefully

  • You understand that no collar, leash, or harness is escape-proof or chew-proof

  • You assume full responsibility for supervising your pet

Tailcorner shall not be liable for:

  • Pet escapes

  • Injuries to pets, owners, or third parties

  • Breakage caused by pulling force, sudden impact, or aggressive behavior

  • Damage caused by chewing or scratching

  • Use on pets exceeding recommended weight limits

You acknowledge that animals are unpredictable and that product failure may occur due to animal behavior beyond normal intended use.

3. Material Compliance & Safety Standards

Our products are crafted using carefully selected materials that comply with international safety standards, including RoHS, SGS, and REACH certifications for applicable components.

Certifications apply only to specific materials or components where indicated by suppliers and do not constitute a guarantee of overall product performance under all conditions of use.

Compliance refers to material composition standards and does not imply that products are indestructible, chew-proof, or suitable for all pets.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring that products are appropriate for their pet’s size, strength, and behavior.

4. Product Durability Disclaimer

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, products are:

  • Not bite-resistant

  • Not military-grade

  • Not suitable for extreme pulling

  • Not guaranteed against breakage under force

Metal parts, clasps, and stitching may weaken over time due to use.

Normal wear, tension stress, and environmental exposure (water, sand, salt, humidity) are not defects.

5. Veterinary & Injury Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Tailcorner shall not be liable for:

  • Veterinary expenses

  • Medical expenses

  • Behavioral incidents

  • Damage to property

  • Legal claims arising from pet behavior

The customer assumes full responsibility for any consequences arising from product use.

6. Orders & Anti-Fraud Protection

We reserve the right to:

  • Cancel suspicious orders

  • Refuse high-risk transactions

  • Request identity verification

  • Block customers with previous abusive behavior

Fraudulent chargebacks, false “item not received” claims, or misuse of buyer protection systems will be formally disputed with payment processors.

We reserve the right to submit:

  • Delivery confirmation

  • Carrier GPS validation

  • IP address logs

  • Order history

7. Shipping & Delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates only.

Tailcorner is not liable for:

  • Carrier delays

  • Customs delays

  • Seizures by customs authorities

  • Import taxes

  • Incorrect address provided by customer

  • Failed delivery attempts

If a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, it is considered fulfilled.

Claims for missing packages must be filed within 5 days of marked delivery.

8. Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

Customers are solely responsible for:

  • Customs duties

  • Import VAT

  • Clearance fees

  • Local regulatory compliance

Refusal to pay customs fees does not qualify for a refund.

9. Returns – Conditions

In accordance with EU law, customers have 14 days to request withdrawal.

However:

  • Items showing ANY sign of pet use are non-returnable

  • Presence of fur, odor, scratches, saliva, or deformation voids return eligibility

  • Outdoor use voids return eligibility

  • Size mistakes do not constitute product defects

Return shipping is always the customer's responsibility unless legally required otherwise.

We strongly recommend tracked return shipping.
We are not responsible for lost return parcels.

Refunds are issued only after inspection and approval.

10. Chargeback & Payment Dispute Policy

By completing a purchase, you agree to contact Tailcorner directly before initiating a payment dispute.

Unjustified chargebacks will be challenged with evidence submission.

Accounts engaging in abusive dispute behavior may be permanently banned.

We reserve the right to pursue recovery of fraudulent losses through legal means where applicable.

11. Warranty Limitation

Products are covered by the mandatory 24-month EU legal guarantee for manufacturing defects present at delivery.

The warranty does NOT cover:

  • Chewing damage

  • Pull-force damage

  • Improper fitting

  • Wear and tear

  • Rust from environmental exposure

  • Pet growth after purchase

  • Behavioral damage

Tailcorner reserves sole discretion in determining whether a defect qualifies under legal warranty standards.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Tailcorner’s total liability shall never exceed the purchase price of the product.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure due to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Strikes

  • Pandemics

  • Political disruptions

  • Customs restrictions

  • Global supply chain interruptions

14. Intellectual Property

All content is owned by Tailcorner and may not be reproduced.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy.
